Why Psychotherapy?
"Talking helps… being listened to and understood gives your life a new dynamic."
Individual psychotherapy starts from your personal potential and it will help you:
- To grow in self-confidence and strength
- To put your life in order
- To further develop your personality
- To experience relationships in a more harmonious and constructive way
- To find meaning and fulfillment in your life
- To help you to explore and address the difficulties and obstacles that you encounter in your personal and/or professional life.
- To build relationships of trust and openness
"Talking helps… being listened to and understood gives your life a new dynamic."
How does psychotherapy work?
As a client, you are in charge of your meeting. That is, you decide what is important for you to be explored and you need support with. As a counselor I help you with specific questions, giving you the opportunity to say all that needs to be said and for you to learn more about yourself and your capability to deal with the problems in your life. You will learn to trust yourself and your ability to handle things coming on your path.
How do I work as a Psychotherapist?
How do I work as a Psychotherapist?
In my approach, I work simultaneously on three Pillars. First and foremost, it is important to strengthen your self-confidence and to strengthen and expand your personality. At the same time, it is important to see and adjust recurring behaviour and patterns that prevent you from living happily, with yourself and others. In all this and throughout your life, you are constantly confronted with different feelings. It makes your life better if you know how to acknowledge and control these feelings.
Practicalities
A conversation lasts for one hour and takes place weekly, fortnightly or monthly, depending on your needs. In between sessions you will work on integrating what we have discussed and planned.
As a Psychotherapist, I adhere to the conditions and agreements of IACP Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and I comply with their code of ethics. https://iacp.ie/
